For a person believed to be in the Crawford County jail, start with the county inmate-list/VINELink route or contact the correctional facility. The sheriff's office is in Meadville, but the jail is in Saegertown. Do not go to the sheriff's office for a jail visit unless the office has directed you there.

Court and Records Contacts

Court records should not be sent to Crawford County open records when the record belongs to a court office. The county's open-records form page warns that court orders, sentencing orders, transcripts, judgments, divorce decrees, and criminal records are court records and may be returned as misdirected if sent to the wrong channel.
